	Washington D.C. should't be here because the city is just Washington. It's in the District of Colombia but D.C.'s not part of the city's name.

	I accept your premise and I had the same thought but the CIA factbook gave it as 'Washington, D.C.', Wikipedia suggests that its title is 'Washington, D.C.' and it is (I'd say) more commonly referred to as 'Washington, D.C.' over just 'Washington'.

	Speaking as a DC native, I can say with great confidence that the name of the capital of the United States is Washington. Saying the city's name is "Washington, D.C." is like saying New York's name is "New York, N.Y." The reason the city's name is often coupled with D.C. is probably to prevent confusion with the state of Washington. Whatever the CIA World Factbook might say, the White House's stationery and a thousand other sources confirm that the city's name is Washington.

	Saint Georges has been added as a bonus. I'm split on the Washington matter. It is very commonly referred to as Washington DC and that is how it is spelt in other Sporcle quizzes, not just Washington. If you're a DC native I find it difficult to argue and on doing a bit of research I think I shall have it just as a bonus answer. Thanks for your input guys :)

	sri jayawardenepura kotte is just the seat of government but not the capital: this is colombo.

	@esumid: Sri Jayawardenapura-kotte is indeed the capital. Check the Sri Lankan government website which confirms as such. Colombo is described as the 'commercial capital'. I have clarified however that this quiz is looking for 'administrative capitals' at the top.

	The way I remember how to spell Sri Lanka's capital is to break it up into simple-sounding pieces: Sri, then Jaya, warden-A, pura, Kotte.

	Seeing as there are multiple ways to spell it (some A's can be replaced by E's), I don't find Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte hard to spell. It bamboozles me that it could be the least-guessed answer.

	@ezmeralde: Central America isn't a continent--many people mistake it for one, but it isn't. To quote wikipedia, "It is the southernmost...portion of the North American continent". :) It would be a very small continent!!! P.S. Awesome quiz--spent the whole time trying to spell "Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte" and did think of trying "Krungthepmahanakhon Amornrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharat Ratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmahasathan Amornphiman Awa-tarnsatthit Sakkathattiyawitsanukamprasit" as a joke too :P :P
