Nice quiz! May want to add Fillmore. :)

Oops haha figures I missed one. Thanks!

Got it with 3:41 left, might want to reduce the time to prevent people from just guessing every president.

New time is just right!

"When I was a pup, we got spanked by Presidents till the cows came home. Grover Cleveland spanked me on two nonconsecutive occasions!"

Listing the Presidents in order makes this much easier. You may want to move them around.

Having them in order was a big help, with the short time. I got Fillmore with five seconds left.

I feel particularly lucky for the fact that I don't have an 's' in my name... I wonder if I will ever get onto this?

With all the discussion of Truman's middle initial I've seen, it makes me smile that he's on the S-less presidents quiz.

i have 6 s's in my name....this wasnt the best quiz for me

Before playing this quiz, I clicked the boss button. And now I am disappointed in Sporcle.

It doesn't take "Harry Truman" without the S in the middle (or John Kennedy or James Polk). I know that last names only works, but it seems like you should be able to enter first and last without the middle initial that's randomly added to some of the names.

How on earth did I miss Obama? That should have been my first answer.

stupid Warren G. Harding. :/

In the abstract and also in the execution this is a fine quiz. However the facts make it a rather dull one (although not a particularly easy one for me), since out of the 37 separate names for President
(five pairs of Presidents shared names, all of which contained an S, and Cleveland was President twice)
, only 11
(representing 16 Presidents)
contained an S
(about half ending in "son": 6/11 names = 8/16 presidents)
. So this quiz is basically asking you to list all the Presidents' names with relatively few exceptions.

I lived in Riverside, CA where there is a section where the streets are named after Presidents - and I only got 12 right. GAAAA, shows how well I was paying attention.

A) Truman's S was not a real part of his name. IIRC, it was added for the campaign. At least that was what a HS history teacher said, because Truman was such a bumpkin they needed to "class him up" with a middle initial. Whatever. Might be snobby east coast bias against a midwesterner. B) @zeller, how about the almost assasinated? Ford and Reagan both work as well. Not sure of others who dodged bullets or buggy whips, or whatever they used way back when.

@zeller clearly, the attempt on Jackson's life failed solely because of this quiz.

Woh Woh Woh! I would defo prefer it if the presidents were in order.

Obligatory "too US-centric"... :)

15 sec....CRAP....10 sec...NO!!...5 sec..."Morgan Freeman"....Dang it!!

Once again, Fillmore is last for me in a presidents quiz...and once again I have to backtrack to him after doing all the others in proper order...
Apr 4th, 2011 at 04:05 GMT
Self-correction (somehow I overlooked the first Presidential name to contain an S):
... out of the
separate names for President
(five pairs of Presidents shared names, all of which contained an S, and Cleveland was officially President no. 22 & 24, making Obama no. 44),
contained an S
(about half ending in "son": 6/
names = 8/

It seems odd that Harding is consistently among the least-remembered on presidential quizzes, considering his administration was rife with scandal.
Apr 14th, 2011 at 04:49 GMT
@SQUIB Who wants to remember him? He was an awful president. I always remember him because he's from Ohio.
Apr 15th, 2011 at 02:53 GMT
I did it with one second left, but I still recommend more time for this one.
Jul 1st, 2011 at 16:53 GMT
You have to add more time to this quiz.

Caught sporcle-itis on this quiz. Remembered Buchanan, Arthur, and Harding, but whiffed on Obama...

Jan 4th, 2012 at 05:11 GMT
I could have sworn Wilson did not have an S in it
Apr 20th, 2012 at 18:43 GMT
7 presidents in a row without an "S" (Tyler-Lincoln). Spooky...
May 2nd, 2013 at 15:42 GMT
Van Buren, you are often my downfall. Why can't I ever remember you?!
