	Yugoslavia and Serbia is not the same. Yugoslavia was consisted of 7 today's republics: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.

	Might be OK if you accepted any of these 7 alternatives for Yugoslavia. Certainly Serbia should not be the only choice.

	@nitpicker: Even though the US Govt. calls it "Burma", the country calls itself Myanmar and the UN recognizes it as Myanmar.

	Technically, after Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia and Slovenia left, the remainder was called the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (from 1992 until 2002), so the quiz is right. It then became the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, though, not Serbia. Although, Montenegro seceded from Serbia, so...

	In 2002, the name of the country known as "Yugoslavia" was changed into "Serbia and Montenegro". Serbia was a part of that state both before and after the name change.

	For people who object to the military junta's ruling of Burma/Myanmar the country's name is still Burma. I don't think it should be included in this quiz since all the rest of the names are actually outdated, whereas Burma is still in common use.

	The country doesn't call itself Myanmar. The country's tyrannical human rights abusing military junta government calls it Myanmar. The people call it Burma (unless they are being watched/listened to).

	agree with the above technical calls, otherwise a pretty good quiz. Also, you could find even more things to add to this quiz, such as Formosa (Taiwan) as suggested by Isomart, and a very small amount of informal research will bring many former colonial-era names of African and North/South American countries. Also, Roman-era names (Hispania, Gallia, Britannia) would be nice.

	Yugoslavia was more than Serbia, I think most of the items on this quiz were done on a previously published Sporcle quiz. For a totally differnt list along the same lines, this has also been around for a while http://www.sporcle.com/games/caramba/ModernColonialNames

	For Yugoslavia the quiz has always accepted Serbia and Montenegro. Long after many of the other countries people have been mentioning had already splintered off Serbia and Montenegro were still officially known as Yugoslavia. It wasn't until this millennium that the word Yugoslavia was finally abandoned.

	In fact, the extra column tells you what year the change I'm referring to occurred and therefore you should know I do not mean Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, etc. I have altered the quiz to read Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (which was the official name of the Yugoslavia consisting only of Serbia and Montenegro) so everybody should be able to shut up about it.

	Czechoslovakia isn't accepting Slovakia as an answer... although I've had it accept "Czech Republic" and "Czech Republic Slovakia"
