	Carthage was razed. Tunis is a new settlement. Peking wasn't really given a new name, it's just transliterated differently nowadays.

	rand0mnez, The city that is today known as Istanbul was once called Byzantium. If the quiz worked the other way, and I gave you the current name of the city and you had to guess its previous name and I didn't accept Constantinople, I'd see your point. Thanks to They Might Be Giants, guessing Constantinople from Istanbul seemed a little too easy.

	@CGI - I agree wholeheartedly on Istanbul. However, Carthage is still not the same place as Tunis.

	Some more of these are not "renamed", just different pronunciations or normal evolutions from one language to another. Londinium-London and Lugdunum-Lyon are really the same name. Rangoon-Yangon, Peking-Beijing, and Bombay-Mumbai are just more accurate pronuncations.
