There isn't a set of complex points called the "Julia set": Different functions have different "Julia sets". You also misspelled "mandelbrot".

limitsuperior: sorry about mispelling Mandelbrot; I was still editing the quiz when it went live! As for Julia set, I understand this however the image is clearly a representative of a Julia set, and any quiz about fractals would be lacking if it didn't include one.

So a Sierpinski Carpet is just a silhouette of a Menger Sponge?

Rockgolf: that's right. The sponge is the 3D analog of the carpet... there are similar possibilities for the circle packing and the triangle.

Well, you certainly have the freedom to include it because it's your quiz. However, I stand by my position that it's incorrect to say that the name of that fractal is the Julia set. Also, I'm changing the score I've given this quiz to reflect that you fixed the spelling of mandelbrot.
