	I misunderstood Clue K at first to mean that EVERY X needed to be directly to the left or right of another X. Once I realized that wasn't the case, I figured out the rest of the puzzle pretty easily (though I DID fall for your little trick with Clue N at first... Nicely played).

	Need to let us know cell H doesn't have a number. The clue that it is sandwiched doesn't mean it couldn't have one as well.

	@lilboothe Clue R says that every row must have at least one number. If Cell H had a number, then the next row down would have two numbers and there would not be a number available for the bottom row. Therefore, there's already enough information to deduce that there's no number there. I think that by now @Buckler is good enough at crafting these puzzles that when he says a puzzle can be solved purely using logic, we can trust that he is telling the truth :)

	I noticed the grammatical error in Cells N/S, but I just assumed that the quiz creator made a mistake. Oops.

	This quiz was amazing, haven't had to think this much in a while. Just saw the URL... why in heavens name would you get the idea anyone would rate this 1 globe?

	Agreed. Also, since there are multiple 'continued' clues, how are we supposed to know that once we uncover both halves of a continued clue, that they match? Just because the sentence is grammatical doesn't mean that they necessarily go together. I would ditch this gimmick.

	I liked the quiz but I agree that the "is" repetition thing is a little unfair - especially because you're reading them left to right. Since the clue in N is not immediately helpful, I would leave it out and tweak elsewhere as needed (I can't recall if you would need to tweak otherwise or not).

	I think Step 8 of your solution needs a fuller explanation. The reason that knowing that there is at least one number in the bottom row means that there can only be two numbers in the third row is because of the clue in Box F. From Box F we know that if H had a number, that number would also have to appear in Row 4, which would leave no numbers left for Row 5.

	@thedpr You already know a 1 or 3 has to go in Cell X. It cannot be anything else. So when the clue that says it's 1 one doesn't work grammatically, and the clue that says it's a 3 does work grammatically, then you know it's a 3. Even if there were other "continued" clues then you still know it has to be a 3. If there were more than two possibilities for that cell then I would deem it unfair. It's called "diabolical" for a reason. It's intended to deceive unlike my other puzzles.

	How do I know it can't be a 1 if there can be other, un-opened "continued" clues? Just because there is a first-half of a clue that begins "The number 1 is..." that doesn't fit the "... is the number in cell X" second half? That is an assumption, pure and simple. There could be another first-half clue that says "The number 1..." that matches the clue in cell S, and another second-half clue that matches the clue in cell M. I would suggest at least saying somewhere that there are four and exactly four half-clues. Then there is no ambiguity.

	@Buckler to be fair, in thedpr's defense that doesn't quite answer his point about how it "could belong to another continued clue". Sure, we know it's not the "it's 1" clue, but unless I'm missing something logically for all we know there could be yet a third 'continued' clue that we haven't uncovered yet. HOWEVER, a better way to answer/justify it would be that by the time you get to that step, there isn't much room for there to be a third 'continued' clue. If there is, he's right, it would technically still be a guess, unless I'm missing something else.

	I just assumed that perhaps you wouldn't have multiple 'continued' clues that could interchangeably make sense... but then again, this is called 'diabolical' so that was kind of a leap of faith.

	Hi, can you please explain clue K, it says that "every row has an X that is either directly to the left or right of another X, except this row". Doesn't that mean that cell H breaks the rule, since there is an X there and numbers directly to the left and right?

	It says "Every row" not "every X". R and W are X's are both Xs in that row so the clue is true.

	I'd like some convincing that O and T must be taken to be matches. I have M N O S T, and it seems like there would only be three split clues, but is there a way to eliminate the possibility that an undiscovered clue could read "there are exactly four (to be continued)" and another one could read something like "(continued)...Xs in the first row"? From my perspective, that seems possible, which would make X a guess. I ended up going with the intended solution, but I did so by deducing that having the 3s in the last column would be the likely way to figure out the order of Q and V (using the clue in W).

	I loved a lot about this quiz. However, I would maybe say '(to be grammatically correctly continued)' or something like that because otherwise N and S are just a nasty trick to get you to guess wrong the first time. Having said that, I really enjoyed some of the clever ideas; I was especially excited when I figured out U's clue.

	Failed the first time because I assumed that the N/S "to be continued" clues repeated "is" for the sake of transitioning the continuation, rather than a super-subtle hint that these clues (the only ones I'd seen of that style at that point in my solve) match other TBC-style clues. Beyond that really slight irritation, thoroughly enjoyed the logic to this one.

	I don't think the "is is" clue is is fair because it relies on an assumption that it's not a typo and is not a purely "logical" conclusion.

	You got me the first time with the "is..is" trick. But after staring at the screen in shock for a minute I thought it was funny. Well done quiz, I like the originality.
