| This is a great quiz, and I want to stress that I -really- love it (that's why I rated it 5!) before I go off nit-picking. I think accepting plain Witch-king would be great (having to type the "of Angmar" seems excessive, though of course it does sound really cool and all =D). For another thing, if the hints are the actors who portrayed the characters in the movies I really believe this belongs in the movie section, not literature. Lastly this list seems somewhat minimal to me...I mean, Haldir (Craig Parker) is a major character as the movies portrayed him, and Treebeard is important any way you look at it (they even list him in the characters section of the official website! He was voiced by John Rhys-Davies, the same guy who played Gimli.). It just seems bizarre not to see them. Other characters that could be added would be Celeborn (Martin Csokas); Rosie Cotton (Sarah McLeod); Lurtz (Lawrence Makoare--if you want to continue being movie centered, of course! But I think he's a cool character and deserves a mention, you could also use Gothmog the orc-captain--way less cool imo, but still important); Theodred (Paris Howe Strewe); and of course the major characters from the Last Alliance in the prologue! Gil-galad (Mark Ferguson) Elendil (Peter McKenzie) and Isildur (Harry Sinclair). It's...just a somewhat nerdish thought, don't take it as a criticism. I think perhaps some of these should be hidden answers (if you don't know, as I didn't for a long time, you make an answer hidden by putting ee in the extra info column...I don't know how that would work with having the actor's name there but I assume it would be ok...). A really cool hidden answer would be the Mouth of Sauron (Bruce Spence). |
