Weird that 19 of the league's best players and Tebow would do well in any era.

Nice quiz and all (no typos, proper capitalization, etc), but like most other sports lists quizzes, these choices are absurd for a variety of reasons.

Tebow would work, considering way back when running was more important than passing. I'mnot a Tebow fan by any stretch of the imagination (OK a little bit) but I think he could be a star for his playing in the 60's

@Boston, no, but you did think this was worthy of a quiz, which it isn't.

Tebow would have been a great QB before the forward pass — otherwise I don't see how he made the list.

Lewis also excels at beating the American legal system.

Tearbow cannot succeed in his own era, let alone any other.

The fact that Tebow is on here but Cam Newton isn't (because I'm assuming they're looking for a big, mobile QB) is a joke. Tebow should start succeeding in his era before we go comparing him to QBs from all eras.

Also, 19 of the best players of this generation would probably also be really good if they played 30-some years ago? Thanks for clearing that up, ESPN.

I understand this quiz has a credible source, but who is the writer who wrote this? Yes, I agree players are at the highest level of playing this generation, but would Hines Ward be a better pick than guys like Wayne, Boldin, Fitzgerald, or Calvin Johnson? Would Tebow be a better pick than even a guy like John Skelton or Dan Orlovsky. C'mon ESPN.

this was a week long thing where ESPN analysts and Hall of Famers chose the top 20 they thought would be best at any time. I disagree with some of the choices but overall its a good list.

yeah i guess Tebow would be a really good QB back in the forties when they barely passed.

Of course ESPN would put Tim Tebow on this list. This is the same network that said his name around 100 times on a single episode of SportsCenter one day

You're right. Tebow would have made a great Punter/Kicker back in the 1940s and 1950s......I mean really the guy can't even complete half of his throws and couldn't hit a wide open target 98% of the time this season. What a joke....
