Villans is more like a nickname for Aston Villa than just shortening their full name. Good quiz though, had an idea for this myself but for teams throughout Europe.

THe Mackems like to be known as the Black Cats now, so well done for keeping their true nickname alive. Also, Leeds are more known as The Whites than United

My team is Carlisle United - also known colloquially as UNITED. Why doesn't this count? Man City are the Citizens - and agree with the above comment for Villains.
