Actually if you take the southernmost point of Canada to be Pelee Island in Lake Erie then half the US states are 'north' of Canada.

only
states that are due north of Canada are U.S. states. Greenland doesn't have states, and no other country has any areas due north of Canada.

How does "North" vs "Due North" make a difference? If they're north of parts of Canada, then they're north of parts of Canada...

In other words, there are points within those states where, if you travel due south, you will run into Canada.

The question/title should be name the states due SOUTH of Canada because last time I checked none of the continental US states were north of Canada.....
