	So, I should have gotten it since I live in California and everything, but the Rio Grande really only covers about half of the border between the U.S. and Mexico. There isn't a clear defining line the rest of the way. (I kept thinking it was the Colorado River, too, which didn't help.)

	@nathan-if you look on a map, the rio grande portion of the US/Mexico border really does outstretch what's left, especially when taking into account all of the river's meanders

	Why is it that 'Red' and 'Black' are accepted by themselves, but 'Channel' isn't? If you were to say 'the Red' or 'the Black' (or probably 'the Bering' for that matter), no-one would know what you were on about. 'The Channel', on the other hand, is frequently and widely used as a short version of 'the English Channel'. Therefore BamaRainbow is correct.

	@NY_MOB: No, because it is commonly just referred to as 'The Channel', see the Wikipedia page if you do not believe me. The tunnel between England and France somewhat illustrates this point. It is called the 'Channel Tunnel', not the 'English Channel Tunnel'.

	I was trying Gulf of Mexico for USA and Mexico! Totally forgot about rivers - But then looking at the names, I wouldnt have got any anyway...

	@burymore: It's actually called the Strait of Gibraltar because there is only one strait. That being said, if I had thought of it, I would have accepted both Strait and Straits as the important part is Gibraltar.

	@Colchester91: I think we call it "the Channel" here in the UK because it's our one and it sounds silly to name it, in the same way that we say "the Highlands" rather than "the Scottish Highlands". I imagine if you live in Panama, you talk about "the canal" in the same way. I think Booger has it right on this one.

	@spiddy: As much as I accept that premise, I believe that 'The Channel' is different. If one were to type 'the channel' into google the only water-based 'channel' to come up is the English Channel. Typing canal comes up with various different canals. I believe that the English Channel is of enough significance to be just 'The Channel'.

	Germany Switzerland frustrated me most as the most famous feature on the border is Lake Constance though I appeciate this does not run the whole length maybe a bonus answer asking for the river instead? Also should probablt accept gibralter for Spain/Morocco.

	I had trouble with the English Channel too (only typing in 'Channel' or 'The Channel' didn't work), but I think it should also accept 'Strait of Dover' (which I typed in exasperation).

	Just for completeness, you should probably accept "Rio Bravo" for Rio Grande, that being the Mexican name. :)

	2 Spanish territories, Ceuta and Melilla, both directly border Morocco. So strait of Gibraltar isn't really the border.

	You should definitely accept Strait of Dover, but once you know it is "channel," is it really that hard to figure out which one, people? I thought it was a good quiz, but I might leave out things like Turkey and Ukraine and Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan... those aren't borders, the sea is just between them, it's like saying the US and Brazil have a sea border.
