After creating this game, I see that cloycebox did a version of the state capitals West to East. If anyone wants to play that game, it is located here: http://www.sporcle.com/games/cloycebox/capitals. Cloycebox, sorry for the similar game, although it is comforting that we got the same order.

Nice one. Without a doubt, the toughest spot on the list was knowing that Lansing followed Atlanta.

I think we did create the same game within a few days of each other, yes. I like your NHL / NFL / MLB east-to-west quizzes also.

They're both great quizzes, booger and cloycebox. For some reason, East to West went faster for me.

I think you should cut down the time by a minute or two. Great quiz.

I think you should ADD a couple of minutes. I hate these quizzes because if you've got one out of order, you can waste endless time plugging in alternatives.

A little more time, please. This was a lot of fun to piece together - the type of puzzle you want to finish, regardless of how long it takes. Let everyone have as long as they need!

Agree with previous comment by lalalala. Need quite a bit more time - can't type that fast.

I agree that more time is needed, considerably more time. Great quiz idea, but I was really pressured by the time.

yeah i need a few more seconds. I didn't have time to enter the last three even though I knew them. Maybe add 30 seconds. Good quiz though.

Seriously, it doesn't accept "Saint Paul"? You should definitely change that. And I agree that we need more time. Otherwise, great quiz!

very, very cool. 33/50, so I'd vote for more time—but maybe I oughta just brush up on my geography! ;]

49/50, missed Raleigh because it just slipped my mind. I thought this looked familiar and it's still a solid quiz, just like w-e

It's hard but it gets much easier the further west you go. Would have got 'em all if I wasn't hell bent on Anchorage as the capital of Alaska.

After getting the easy ones on the east, I went from west to east and then filled in the gaps.

There's a lot of typing between the Atlantic coast and the Mississippi river. It gets easier after you get past the Great Plains states.

Tremendous quiz, one of my favorite on there. I got 50/50 with just 00:37 left, and had to try a bunch of different techniques. West to East is certainly a lot easier once you get through New England and NY. Another good technique is copying your best guess to the clipboard then trying it in several blanks until it fits.

Once on Final Jeopardy! they asked for the southernmost state capital other than Honolulu. I thought this was an especially cruel one because less than 10 minutes of latitude (12.5 miles) separate Austin (the correct answer), Baton Rouge, and Tallahassee. (In fact, the latter two are less than a mile and a half apart in terms of which is farther north.)

Small correction: You've got a minute sign (') where each degree sign (° - might have to use Unicode U+00B0 or HTML °) should be.

I finished with :14 left -- found it helpful to do New England/Northeast first, then work basically west to east.

Got 46 on the first go. Great quiz. Probably would've finished if I didn't spend 30 seconds trying Birmingham as Alabama's capital.

It was a lot easier for me to work west-to-east, mainly because I just don't know the New England geography as well as the rest of the US. Still didn't help me get more than 25/50, though...

Finished with 30 seconds left. Like this because it was challenging in that if you didn't know the capitals in the first place you'd be hosed since the clock is not too long. I used the same strategy as mentioned earlier of copying and pasting until I could find the right order. Would have never guessed Madison was east of Springfield, IL among others. The other hold up was spelling Bismarck as Bismark.

Starting from the east I got stuck on Lansing, so I went from the west coast all the way to Indiana then realized what I was missing
