| There are a couple of examples in there I think I'd change, because I think these are most interesting when there's no connection between the song and the TV show, as is the case with, say, "Heroes" or "Mad About You". On the other hand, Al Jarreau recorded "Moonlighting" not as an unrelated song with the same name as the TV series, but as the theme song for the TV show (at least, per Wikipedia, and I think they're right this time). The song "Rawhide" predates the TV series, but it was used as the theme, making that a less interesting pairing, IMHO; similarly for "As Time Goes By" (where the TV show was clearly named for the song) and "Twilight zone" (where the song was clearly named for the TV show). |
