A couple of corrections - New Granada for Colombia and Zaire was the name of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as was Belgian Congo. Republic of the Congo was once called Middle Congo. See my quiz at http://www.sporcle.com//user/caramba/contributed for a quiz like this, only in reverse - I give the old name you give the new name.

Serbia and Montenegro should be Serbia. Burkino Faso should be Burkina Faso. I don't think Belize should be in here because you're using its colonial name, which opens up a whole new can of worms.

Well Serbia and Montenegro should be left out because there's not one single country, but two. Burkina Faso is spelt wrong also.

There's way too many things spelled wrong (Democractic, Kampuchia, Grenada, Burkino Faso). You might want to include Kiribati (formerly Gilbert Islands). Also Yugoslavia dissolved into seven countries, and Serbia and Montenegro is no longer a single country.

Serbia and Montenegro is now two countries, and Yugoslavia is now those two as well as Macedonia, Kosovo, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Does everyone forget Taiwan, every quiz like this has always forgotten Taiwan used to be called Formosa, until after the second world war.
