For the Royals I was trying to guess the player with 36 (Brett, Balboni, etc...I didn't even think to type none.)

Ok I decided to take them off. I guess teams that don't qualify for the quiz should not be on here.

Good quiz, surprising how long it's been for some of the teams. If you are going to omit some of the teams you might want to remove the instruction saying "None/Never are possible answers."

Good game. I'd list year as a hint from the beginning so we could at least have a sense of the era we're guessing for each team.

Great quiz, though I agree with wisedrunker, the color scheme makes it really hard to see which have been answered.

Ok... you got me. I'm about the least artistic guy you'll ever meet and have no idea what makes the colors look good. Haha, I just make the quiz's content and then just fiddle around with the colors until I think it looks cool. Sorry if anyone goes blind while playing my quizzes.

And spitma, I actually had the year when I first made the quiz, but it just makes an already easy quiz (most of the players are from the 2000s) even easier. Who is the first player you're going to think of on the 1970 Twins? The 1973 Pirates? It makes it more difficult if you have to go through the Mauers, Morneaus, Bays and Bonds to get find answer.

@Blaise, I agree--that's exactly what heppened to me with the Twins, for example, and it makes it more interesting than if you gave the year. I was suprised to have to go that far back with them. As for time--I could have used another minute, but maybe I just don't thnk fast enough.

Shouldn't Jim Thome be acceptable for the White Sox? He hit 42 homers in 2006.

Beltre's 48-homer year was 2004, not 2003.

Helton had 49 homers in 2001,not 48.

Great quiz. I put this list together a couple years ago on my blog and update it every season. (And wait with bated breath every year to see if a power-hitting Royal will emerge.)

At least the Pirates are on the list. Try being a Royals fan and having your all-time single-season HR leader be Steve Balboni.

Hard to believe the Twins played in that dinky little dome for all those years with guys like Gaetti, Puckett, and Hrbek and no one could hit 40 homers. Watch now, Morneau will hit 40 at Target Field.

Yes, in 2006, Dye hit 44 and Thome hit 42.

The Twins play small ball. Hard to argue with in '91 and '87, in spite of the setting.

Hopefully Pedro Alvarez will be able to hit a lot of home runs, or else it will be a looooooong time before the Pirates have anyone that can hit for power.
