This quiz is too easy. All you'd have to do is rattle off all the state capitals, which can be done in the 3 minutes allowed. I'd chop it down to 2 minutes at the most.

if you're going to say Foxborough is close enough to Boston, why not the Minneapolis teams that are even closer to St. Paul?

don't listen to them. Technically half the teams out there don't play within the city limits. Closest major city is always recognized as where they play. St Paul are Minneapolis are both major cities, so no need to merge the two. Foxboro is not, so it becomes Boston.

Take the NFL out of Boston's clue. They're in Foxboro, not Boston.

The thing about the Pats is, they USED to be the Boston Patriots. That's different. The Patriots themselves don't even consider themselves Boston's team. They moved and became the New England Patriots. They're over 30 miles apart. I wouldn't give them to Boston, either. Not that it matters. It really doesn't.

Washington, DC does not have a NFL team. The Redskins play In Landover, Maryland and have their head office in Ashburn,Virginia.

The Cardinals and Coyotes both play in Glendale and that is over 10 times the population of Foxboro. And Foxboro to Boston is not over 30 miles apart, they are 22 miles apart.

if the pats arent boston's team, then why do their super bowl parades go right through boston whenever they win? that's like saying the rockies aren't denver's team because they go by colorado or the vikings aren't minneapolis's team because they go by minnesota

you guys are being too critical and technical about a team's exact location, if you pay close attention, this Quiz is in the SPORTS category and not in the GEOGRAPHY category.

The Patriots aren't a Boston team. They're 22 miles from Boston, and 19 from Providence. They're farther from Boston than the Minnesota Vikings are from St. Paul (under 9 miles, if you measure to the center), and yet the Vikings aren't counted

arcad has it right, give it a rest guys. The Washington Capitals and Bullets used to play where the Redskins play now in Maryland. All three are DC teams. Patriots are a Boston team, Cowboys are a Dallas team, Pistons are a Detroit team, etc... none of them play IN the city.

TJL: That is because the Vikings play in Minneapolis, a city with a HIGHER population than St. Paul. It is not only the fact that Foxboro is so close to Boston, but the fact that Foxboro has under 17,000 people living there. Minneapolis is a major city, Foxboro is not, that is the difference.

Great quiz. The Pats have always been regarded as a Boston team. And if you really want to get technical, and not that it would make a difference to this specific quiz, but the Jets and Giants don't even play in the same freaking state as their city!

It's very simple people. The quiz is titled, "Can you name the US state capitals with a professional sports team?" If the team is not in Boston (or Phoenix, or St. Paul, or DC, etc.) then it should NOT count. Just because a city roots for a team doesn't mean that the team is in that city. Foxboro, for instance, is closer to Providence than Boston. Sure we associate it with Boston, but people in Providence root for the Pats as well. And guess what? Providence is a state capital? Should it therefore be included? It's a slippery slope. Either the team is in the capital or it's not, plain and simple. This quiz should be fixed.

Might be better if the capital had to be IN the the team name... and I know I'm gonna get voted down for this.

Is it basically being counted if the team is in the same metro area? P.S. The quiz says STATE capitals. Washington is not a state capital, so I agree with the DC teams not being included.

Much ado about nothing, for the most part, but I am very surprised that Sacramento was the most remembered team, and theonly one that I couldn't think of. I probably would have been able to type in every capital city and gotten it, but that's not the way I went about it.

It's funny how everyone wants to argue on here. You make a quiz about teams playing in the cities and everyone argues. I made a quiz about teams not playing in the cities and people argue about what is and is not considered a city. This is a good quiz and I'll bet NO ONE MISSED THE BOSTON ANSWER BECAUSE THE NFL WAS PART OF THE HINT.

True I miss the Whalers... but Idk I'm on the fence with the NEW ENGLAND Patriots argument. A lot of people here in CT and friends from RI root for NEW ENGLAND's team. Even though they were previously the Boston Patriots and they now play in Foxboro, and they are the NE Patriots by name. I do agree, however, that teams who don't play in the capital CITY (as the game is titled) they are named for but close enough to that CITY should be included and considered close enough, but the fact of the matter is that the Pats are not named for Boston nor do they play in Boston. New England is an entire region not a city.
