Nice idea for quiz. I think a note that two stadiums in the same state can qualify as answers would be fair.

A bit easy, but a good quiz overall. Shortening the time might be a good idea. Maybe 3-4 minutes. Otherwise we can just guess college after college

The proper name is West Virginia University.

I think it's fair without a note about 2 schools from the same states. There are only a certain number of states with cities small enough to qualify for this quiz, so I don't think it's a stretch to think of two from the same state. If anything I thought Hawaii was the hardest school to come up with.

Wow. West Virginia's stadium would be the biggest city in the state. That's impressive and disheartening.

Wow when I visited the University of Tennessee a couple years ago, they told me that Neyland Stadium was the 3rd largest "city" in the state on Saturdays. Guess they were trying to really play up the school.

Man, Nebraska has, by far, the biggest disparity between stadium size and third largest city. 31,000 more people in that stadium than it's third largest city? AND they're adding onto it? That's crazy.

Correction: briefly forgot Marshall was in West Virginia. So, Nebraska still has the lead, but it's not by as much as I thought it was.

Every Penn State home game, they always show how there's more people there than in Allentown. But apparently Allentown actually has more people. Disappointing. It's nonetheless very, very close.

Considering going to a West Virginia football game is the only real tourist attraction/thing to do in that state, it should be bigger than it's bigger city lol

If Charleston and North Charleston were considered the same city, then South Carolina and Clemson would both make the list.

South Carolina was one of the states that just missed the list due to 2010 census

Byrd Stadium (University of Maryland) set an attendance record in 1975 of 58,973 which before the 2010 census was larger than Maryland's second largest city - Frederick at 57,907. A few cities just jumped that 58.9k mark though.

Why is Penn State not on this quz?

Because Beaver Stadium (Penn State's field) has a capacity of 106,572. This makes it smaller than Philadelphia (1,526,006), Pittsburgh (305,704), and Allentown (118,032).

As a University of Wyoming alum, I love this quiz. Bear in mind that the University of Wyoming is in Laramie, so, yes, the entire city could go to War Memorial Stadium and have room for a few thousand more. (Laramie also has the tallest buildings in Wyoming, at 12 stories.)

@Landwalker04 Yes, this is due to recent growth in Allentown. That's why people keep asking. Penn State used to say that Beaver Stadium was the third largest city in PA on game days.

@Biloxi, if Arkansas had a 2nd college team that was worth a damn you'd no doubt have to. Arkansas State may as well be a high school.

@Dirk3719- the city listed refers to the city the stadium's capacity is larger than, not where the stadium is.
