My fourth-grade teacher taught us a song to remember this passage. 17 years later, I got 112. It's amazing how music aids memory.

I'm like you, Spencer_Hastings, where I knew it from elementary school and used music as an aid. However, I was taught the original Hebrew, so the older English really got me. I still got the same score, though, just pissed that I couldn't think of an alternate word for anoint.

"I Walk Through The Valley of The Shadow of Death" always makes me think of "Gangsta's Paradise" more than anything.

Fantastic quiz! Somehow I figured anointest would be at the bottom :)

Anointest does not have two "n's". Anointest does not have two "n's". Anointest does not . . . am saying this 50 times for my mistake.

'Shepherd' is currently coming in at 86.7% My guess is at least 13% of this quiz's takers were not raised Christian because this psalm gets painted on your brain.

Great quiz. Shame I missed Yea! I was trying 'Lo' for it, and 'behold'. Where I got hold of them I have no idea.

@JacketFan: I had the same problem. I got hung up there and kept trying annointest, annoints, annointed and then I drew a blank for the next few words after that.

Because of the circles I was raised in, it turns out much of the Scripture I have memorized is a weird mix of phrases from both KJV and NIV. This Psalm is an exception - I remembered it all in KJV no problem. Must be its popularity in the wider culture; it is really beautiful poetry and the Elizabethan language of the KJV is so beloved.
