Why do the C buttons need directions, but the d-pad doesn't? IMO you should be consistent. Either change "d-pad" to "up", "down", "left", and "right", or change the "c-___" to just "c-pad"

i'm a good guy, but i have a question to veterans. i just made an account, and am enjoying making quizzes. How do you make the space not needed? oh and to inyro, i did that because the cpad actually has four seperate buttons, and dpad doesn't, so i'll leave it as is unless it's 100% necessary

Inryo, the N64 doesn't have a c-pad, it has four c buttons. @ Big_Bear: for control stick you should also accept analogue stick. To accept alternate answers simply put a '/' after the correct answer followed by the alternate acceptable answer when creating the game. As far as I'm aware there's no way of preventing users from having to put the space bar after the answer. Seems sporcle just doesn't like one letter answers!

alright thanks. new to this stuff. i'll add an alternate answer, since they refer to it as the analogue stick in the manual.

It's "analog", not "analogue", hazzaar. Big Bear, on the game options page, you need to check the "Accept single character answers" box. Also, I don't think Memory Card Release should count.

it's "analogue" in canada, you know, where i live? but i'll add that third option because i'm assuming majority is american. oh and i didn't know about that single answer button, i'll do that now

I second the idea of the "Memory Card Release" not counting. It's not really a button, but more of a physical release for the memory card. I knew it was there, but I didn't consider it a "button," so I didn't think of it here.

nice concept, but i would personally make "memory card release" a bonus answer, and accept "joy stick" for control stick as well as "plus control pad" for d pad.

I also agree with the "Memory Card Release" not counting on the final total. If you do decide to keep it, at least include alternate answers since that back plug-in was for more than just a memory card (the two that come to mind are the Rumble Pack and the Game Boy connector to transfer things back and forth between the Pokemon Stadium games and the GB Pokemon games).

Fawkes: it's just a difference between American and British English as to whether the spelling is "analogue" or "analog". Analog is apparently the generally preferred spelling in the computer industry though. Big_Bear: I think you should change the displayed answer for "control stick" to "analog stick" with "control stick" as an alternate. It's a more accurate answer and is in the manual as you say.

Users can't do that as of now. I'm hoping your game is accepted! Hopefully if that is the case they'll take it and make it a picture. Nice quiz.

The N64 analog stick can't be pressed down like a Sony controller's L3/R3 so I'm not sure why it's listed as a button. Also, the dpad is four separate buttons even if there is one piece of plastic on top of them.

Good quiz. I almost missed Analogue Stick, not because of the name but because it's not a button. :P

I agree that "Joy Stick" should be accepted, as it is so widely used when referencing the N64 controller. Also, maybe you should change the name to "Input Commands" instead of "Buttons" to clarify the analog stick being part of it.

Imo this should be a one-minute quiz. Does anybody seriously need three minutes for this?

you ask for us to name the "buttons" on the controller, but the analog stick is not a button. btw I live in Canada as well, and I've never once spelled it analogue.
