	I don't like the vehicle question. There are plenty of vehicles besides Epona in the Zelda series. Not only does he ride Epona, but he also rides Ricky, Moosh, and Dimitri in the OoS/OoA games. He rides a raft in the original LoZ. In Twilight Princess, he can ride a boar. In Wind Waker, he rides the King of Red Lions. In a way, he kinda "rides" the Ocarina while playing a warp song. Those are just a few examples. There are others too.

	Some of these answers can vary depending on what game you are refering to. Link is known as the Hero of Time, Hero of Hyrule, Hero of Winds, and the Hero of Four. His race is also Kokiri in OoT.
