	@Chris968: For a team to be on this list, they had to at least come close to winning... it makes the losing that much more painful. Like when the Mariners had that 118 win season and didn't even make the World Series... or the Bills making four straight Super Bowls and losing all four times.

	The St. Louis Blues made the Stanley Cup Finals (albeit in a watered-down fashion) their first three years of existence and later made the playoffs 25 straight years, and they've never won a Stanley Cup or even made the finals since those first three years.

	Ya the mariners won 116times(tied the all time record) then lost in the ALCS....and the Seahawks made the superbowl in 2005 and got cheated on by the refs

	@JohnJF, while you are correct that the Blues lost the Stanley Cup Finals in the first 3 years of their existence, the NHL playoff format for those years made it certain that one of the expansion teams from the weak Western Division played in the finals. The Blues were swept all 3 times by vastly superior teams (the Canadiens twice and the Orr/Esposito Bruins). So, not as close to a Cup as it first appears.
