Hey buddy! You have a couple of errors in here: El Salvador and Kosovo did not work. Also you should accept St. for Saint. Other than that you got yourself a nice game here. Good job.

Hey there, I am female by the way! ;-) Anyway it's time for peace! I fixed El Salvador (spelling mistake) and I added Kosovo as a bonus answer. Kosovo still hasn't been fully recognized as a country so I don't think it should be on the list!

Ahh, my mistake! If you want this quiz published I still think that you should accept St. Kitts and Nevis. And Kosovo is always counted as a country on Sporcle (I'm not really sure why) so it should be accepted.

St. Kitts and Nevis actually was accepted, but I didn't use "st" but "saint"...I changed it too though!

Burkina Faso wasn't accepted, but silly me for not trying something shorter like Benin.

@BieneMaja: Burkina FasO still ends in an O - likewise you need to accept Guinea Bissau. It needs to be consistent, for example, by your logic UniteD States of America should be accepted but isn't.

Until Kosovo is in the U.N. (or at least officially recognized by them) it is not a country. Why do so many sproclers list Kosovo & Taiwan as countries. If you are going to accept those, then you should accept ALL places that have "declared" their independence.

Great Quiz!! It took me a while to get to Republic of Congo. I also tried Burkina Faso but quickly switched to Benin.

@BleneMaja: I appreciate that you accepted East Timor since it bailed me out for E, but Timor-L'este is the Sporcle standard and you must accept it for T to be taken seriously here. Your reasoning for excluding Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau is ridiculous; those should be included or at least put a big note qualifying your weird definition of "last letter". When those are fixed, great game!

@BieneMaja: regarding using countries not recognised by the UN, I think the problem is that
any
single convention is going to have some problems and make some people unhappy, but for a quiz site, the advantages of having a consistent convention that everyone knows outweigh those problems. I'm not completely happy with the current convention either, but I think it's worth going with it just for consistency.

I agree with earlier posters that you should include Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau and Burkina Faso.

Koopa08: You're wrong - Kosovo and Taiwan have had their independence recognised by more than one other state, hence why they're accepted. What I'd agree is wrong of sporcle is not to accept Palestine, which is also recognised by several other states. The US centric nature of sporcle is what I think biases this. (Great quiz btw!)

I noticed that Sao Tome and Principe was not accepted for "S." Please add it. And yes, please accept Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau and Burkina Faso, as they end in "e," "u" and "o" respectively, not "a." Also, please accept "Rep of the Congo" for Republic of the Congo. It is an abbreviation accepted on most Sporcle quizzes.

It's a good quiz, but how on earth is anyone supposed to read the blue on dark gray in the first column?

Okay, I added Guineau - Bissau, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso. I originally left them out on purpose because I did not want any part of the country name ending in "A" (even if a country name consists of more than just one word)! But fine, so many people asked for it, so I added it. Let me know if you can think of any country I left out due to this fact! @BPol, Sao Tome and Principe has been accepted the whole time. I just checked on it, it works just fine!
