Tough! My historical MLB knowledge is very limited. Gotta love Bobo Holloman though

The thing that makes this very tough is the majority of guys on the list are basically nobodies. I had heard of 2 guys in the left column.

Wow tough quiz the only people i heard of on this quiz were Clay Buchholz, Anibal Sanchez and Christy Mathewson. LOL @ 0% got 18-20 and 0.7 got all which was most likely by cheating. Probably one of many quizzes where 1-2 is the majority guessed right. There were probably more who didn't get any right.

Wasn't Clay Buchholz's actually before his rookie season? I thought he was still eligible for "Rookie" status in 2008 for not enough starts (or appearances or whatever they use to determine it).

The answer to 1953 - Browns actually did it in his first MLB start. I'd suggest adding http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumpus_Jones as a bonus.

This quiz shows that there is something called "beginner's luck" I only got Mathewson, Blue and Buchholz legitimately, and got Dean by accident by throwing a wild guess out there for Dizzy Dean.

GMoney: Vida Blue, won the Cy Young and MVP, 24 wins and 1.82 ERA for the World Series Champs A's in 1971. Won over 200 games in his career. Great lefty with a 100 mph fastball, cut his career short through drug usage but has cleaned up his life and is doing good things for his community.

Don Wilson of Houston actually tossed 2 no hitters and might be more of house hold name today except he cut his career short by committing suicide. The Mitchell and Ness Jose Cruz jersey has a Don Wilson patch on it.

Paul Dean is Dizzy Dean's brother; the only reason I got Jose Jimenez was because I was so shocked in 1999 that a guy with such awful stats was able to throw a no-hitter. But that's the beauty of baseball I suppose.

Actually got 9 and was happy with an under 50% score. 99th percentile. Got all of the post-1990 guys plus the big names like Mathewson, Dean, and Blue from the past. And yes, like everyone else who got him...I was guessing Dizzy and not his brother Paul but I'll take it.

I was at Clay Buchholz's no-hitter, so I had to get at least one right. :)
