It wouldn't take the maple leafs, blackhawks(which is one word) or the red wings

Fixed all the corrections thanks for the help... Black Hawks was the original name of the team... but made Blackhawks acceptable

I think it would be great if the ABA and AFL were also included.

The LA Angels changed to the California Angels when they moved to Anaheim in 65 so you might want to have both like you did for other teams. Has a team had more city names although its been in the same general area?

The Twins were still in DC in 1960; they should be something like "Washington & Minnesota Twins" so that putting in "Senators" doesn't give you both the old and expansion team. Since you have them sorted by charter and expansion, the Twins would technically be at the top with the new Senators down at the bottom. I liked this one and did better than I thought even with sufficient knowledge of only one sport.

Excellent quiz! You should accept Sixers. also, I think that Senators should give you both teams - after all there were 2 different teams named the senators in the 60s

Could have chosen a single year, like 1968, rather than the entire decade. but good quiz!

For the Chicago Packers & Baltimore Bullets, you should accept Packers since that is part of the answer. I typed in Packers for the Green Bay Packers and then when I gave up I saw the Chicago Packers and I realized that it should be acceptable.

Carolina Cougars should be a valid alternate answer for Houston Mavericks. They did play in Greensboro in the fall of '69. That franchise later became the Spirits of St Louis, but that was not in the '60s.

I just realized that the two ABA teams I missed (Buccaneers and Mavericks) were because I knew their modern-day nickname counterparts weren't around in the 60s.

The only reason that I got the Amigos was because they were mentioned in "Semipro". :)

Miami Floridians is horrible. But it's no worse than Dallas/Houston Texans or Montreal Canadiens.

Worst name ever for an American pro sports team has to be the Bay Area CyberRays, complete with non-specific geography, horrible use of "cyber," the capital R in the middle of the word, and just general awfulness of trying to imagine what a CyberRay is. It was a women's soccer (WUSA) team.

Dear Sporcle, Stop being so stupid. There is no apostrophe in 1960s and in the shortened version it should be '60s. Apostrophes serve to take the place of removed characters, such as the 19 in 1960s. It does not belong in the pluralization of the years. Imagine writing it out: would you write sixties or sixty's? The only correct way would be SIXTIES with no apostrophe. The same rule applies when writing it with numbers. Please stop being so dense. Thank you.
