Wow, Larry Hughes. And Garnett should not have been on the team last year given that he missed 25 games. He's not that dominant that he can miss nearly a third of the season and still make it. Well done quiz.

These are only the defensive first teams. You should probably be more specific in your title.

193/211... impressed with myself, really. The only dude I should have gotten was Van Lier. The rest, I've never even heard of.

Wow...Larry Hughes. I thought he just missed shots, but turns out he helps others miss them too.

2008-2009. Didn't know defensive ment James, Bryant, and Paul. What about Duncan? He's ranked in the the top 10 in blocks, rebounds in the past 10 years.

These rankings are racist. Only one white player in the past 20 years.

If only I would have known how to spell Debusschere. I could picture Roundfield but for the life of me couldn't remember his name. Very surprised that Was Unseld never was a first team defensive player. Overall very pleased with my 196/211

Regarding the quiz subtitle, the saying is actually "offense wins games, defense wins championships", which is true most of the time.

I think I picked every Sacramento King except Doug Christie. I even typed in Peja Stojakovic's name a couple of times. Nice that Bill Laimbeer never made the team.

Outstanding quiz. Missed a few of the more recent guys on the list, and I've never heard of E.C. Coleman (76-77), but I'm very happy with 204/211.

The only guy I missed after 1988 was Larry Hughes. Couldn't think of any Wizard who ever played a lick of defense. And watching Hughes with the Cavs and Knicks since, I think he really fooled the league that year. I agree with you nageorge03. Battier is excellent.

201/211 - My kind of quiz. Funny thing though - I mixed up Derrick Mckey with Derrick Coleman, which is how I fluke-got EC Coleman. Not to say that Kobe Bryant is a bad defender, but I think his skills in that area have been somewhat overrated. 7 First Team All-Defense selections just seems like too many for him.

Dennis Rodman didn't play for Chicago in '94-95. He came to the Bulls for the following season.
