Barry Bonds is noticeably absent from this list ... and many people hope he will be noticeably absent from the HOF.

I don't know enough about this subject to score above the 5th percentile, but this is a terrific quiz idea.

saves did not become an official stat until 1969, so Kent Tekulve is technically the Pirates all-time saves leader, not Roy Face who pitched primarily in the 1950s

I first I thought it was the leaders for the 2009 season. That wouldn't be a bad idea for a quiz.

I would give a big hats off to anyone that even gets half. I am assuming that the reason Bonds was left off Mays is actually the leader in SF.

Funny how "Robinson" nets you at least three answers on most baseball quizzes, but zero here.

@thelargeone I understand that Mays is actually the leader -- no doubt about it. I was pointing out the fact that a quiz like this is intriguing because certain people you would think FOR SURE would be on the list like Bonds aren't because they didn't play long enough for one team. Hence the 5 sporcle logo vote

59/120, should have done better, I'm a baseball junkie. Another 3 minutes and I could have got a few more for sure. Off to take the NFL, NBA and NHL in lieu of doing work!

@Tchaikovsky08: I wasn't responding to your comment and I also voted a 5. I'm just saying that I prefer quizzes that are finite and fact based. I don't think that editorializing in this type of quiz is appropriate and I trust that the author of the quiz didn't.

apparently no one in yankees history has ever reached 3000 hits. not jeter, not ruth, not gehrig, not mantle, not dimaggio. i found that surprising.

Naming the Marlins on these team leader quizzes is always tough. They flip their entire roster every few years :/

The Yankees have had 300 game winners (Niekro, Clemens), but none have won 300 total games as a Yankee. Same with 3,000 hits (Winfield)

I guessed the Mets leader in hits, but I can't believe it. He was around forever, but never all that good. Apparently the Mets have never had a good hitter for very long.

Stupid Guy of the Day = me. I definitely didn't read the entire title and thus started typing in "Tim Lincecum" for the Giants win leader this year. Fail.

62/120. I was thinking Strawberry and Eric Show but didn't bother typing in their names. Got Charlie Hough and Steve Rogers, but forgot Clemens, Seaver, and Cobb.

I got Zack Wheat and forgot Daryl Strawberry. I was clearly born in the wrong century for New York baseball.
