Walter Payton never had 4 TDs in one game? That's pretty interesting.

It's a damn shame that only 7.9% of people got Leroy Kelly - who is in the HOF...

@chrisofspades: That was my first thought as soon as I saw the quiz. He should be a bonus answer.

Didn't Priest Holmes and Derrick Blaylock do it in the same game?

@Supernuke- They certainly did. Maybe a Ricky Watters bonus since he had 5 in a playoff game?

alejandro- Barry is on the list. It would have been great to see Al Bundy on here. Fun quiz would have become possibly my favorite...especially seeing the team listed as the Polk High Panthers.

My strategy on every sports quiz is type in Jackson, Johnson, and Smith and that gets me a couple every time.

I'm just waiting for some total moron to tell you spelled "Kurt" wrong. And then act shocked that he's the only quarterback one here. And that he played for the Seahawks. In the 80s. People can be so dumb.

I was at Shaun Alexander's in 2002. He scored 5 TDs in the first half! Ridiculous.

I've only recently got into the NFL, probably the last five or six years. I've learned an awful lot of its history from Sporcle.

Did Curt Warner play with Kurt Warner in 1990? Cause that could have gotten pretty confusing.

In 1990, Kurt Warner was a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa.

I clicked here just to make an Al Bundy joke. I was disappointed to see someone had beaten me to it.

Where is Ernie Nevers, who famously rushed for 6 TDs in a game? Oh, I guess it's another one of these quizzes which decides some of the NFL's 90 years of history are less important than others. In which case, it would be nice if the instructions would alert players that certain years are being ignored.

@sbwelborn: Quarterbacks can still rush for touchdowns. Actually, Douglass set the NFL record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in one season in 1972. That record stood until 2006 when Michael Vick broke it.

The Priest Holmes and Derrick Blaylock entry for 2004 deserves an asterisk. Why? Because they each had four rushing touchdowns in the same game! If the Chiefs hadn't pulled Holmes at halftime, he would have shattered NFL records. Easily one of the most dominant team rushing performances in NFL history. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2004102404/2004/REG7/falcons@chiefs

Safe to say, I was not expecting Derrick Blaylock on here. Not to slight Blaylock but that just goes to show how awe-inspiring that Chiefs O-line was.

Most NFL records incorporate AFL records. This list should include Cookie Gilchrist of the Buffalo Bills, who rushed for 5 TDs against the Jets in December 1963.

@Nuclear_Knuckles Couldn't agree more. I have no problem if someone doesn't wanna go through the trouble of researching the 50 pre-merger seasons but at least make a note in the instructions that it's post-merger only. I'm just gonna start only playing sporcle-approved quizzes.

I know, he never played for the NFL (Thank you, Peg!) but I had to try Al Bundy. Would've been a funny bonus!
