Just wondering why China and Macedonia differ from all the other Sporcle quizzes? Epic quiz though.
Sep 17th, 2009 at 14:02 GMT
love love love the quiz, but please please please change the format so that its one huge list. as it is with the 26 lists, i spend way too much scrolling up and down to get to those any letters S and beyond (and some P's). but thanks for making this quiz, sir.
Sep 18th, 2009 at 01:42 GMT
one big list might be easier, but i like the way each letter is seperated.
Sep 18th, 2009 at 03:53 GMT
It should be one big list with four or five columns, and a letter being a "hint", IMO.
Sep 18th, 2009 at 05:32 GMT
I think 20 minutes would be nice to have instead of 18
Sep 18th, 2009 at 12:42 GMT
finally got 100% on my 5th or 6th try... definitely agree with previous posters, either one long list with markers showing where each letter starts, or add a few minutes if its kept in this format.

improvement! now only the bottom few s's require scrolling, so much less hassle. thanks ben.

minor points: sao tome & principe should come before saudi arabia. people will whine about 'china' being accepted for PRC whereas 'macedonia' is not accepted for ROM. in most quizzes 'rep congo' is sufficient for republic of the congo. my guess is you will catch a lot of flack for the abnormal naming of some countries, as compared to what sporcle users are accustomed to (i.e. simply macedonia being under M, china being under C). switching it up is dangerous, because there will inevitably be a few who are upset that micronesia is still under M, and not under F as federated states of micronesia. also, some might get upset that they have to type out united kingdom instead of the simple 'uk' (which, yes i know, gets triggered whenever typing ukraine). just minor tweakings overall, and only if you want to. im happy with the quiz as is, great challenge (forgot mexico this time, bah).
Sep 18th, 2009 at 16:53 GMT
oh and you might get some whining about gambia being under T instead of under G as it is in the G quiz.
Sep 24th, 2009 at 18:30 GMT
Agree with Monte Carlo. Also, there is far too little time for this quiz.

oh my... and wow... pretty much sum up my thoughts
Sep 25th, 2009 at 14:17 GMT
This is wicked! Both in the sense that it's awesome and in the sense that it's evil. I have to give some backup to my fellow commentators - I was confused beyond recognition the China had to be accepted as People's Republic of China when that's not standard on Sporcle.
Sep 25th, 2009 at 14:21 GMT
Ok ive taken into consideration the comments, adjusted China and Macedonia to their regular names no Republic of... so they fit in with C's and M's respectivly. And fixed a few minor errors here and there.. let me know if anything else needs fixing.

i'm officially addicted to this quiz...i'll consider my life complete if I can ever name all of the countries with their capitals in order and match them with their flags
Sep 26th, 2009 at 00:07 GMT
Holy friggin' cannoly, why would one think it humane to toture us all with such a quiz?
Sep 26th, 2009 at 00:14 GMT
Great quiz. But I really need more time than this.
Sep 26th, 2009 at 01:04 GMT
won't see many quizzes where Azerbaijan is the most guessed answer
Sep 26th, 2009 at 01:42 GMT
Why isn't (the) Gambia in 'G'?

HOLY MOLEY!! That's gonna take some practice! Thanks for giving me something new to shoot for...

Who else just got frustrated and quit?
Sep 27th, 2009 at 00:34 GMT
Much better now with the alphabetization fixed and the extra two minutes. Finally got 'em with 15 seconds to spare. Starting to learn some of the letters by heart, though "M", "S" and "T" are continuing to be the death of me. Even better, practicing this game is coming in really handy for other geography quizzes where the answers are in alphabetical order.
Sep 27th, 2009 at 03:03 GMT
Great quiz! Quite a challenge. I will bookmark this one. Where can one find the contributed quizzes if they go off the main page?
Sep 27th, 2009 at 06:49 GMT
After all the geography quizzes I've drilled on, I thought I'd do way better on this, but obviously I can't adjust my approach easily. Need a song like "The 195 Jive". Thanks for a great quiz, though!!
Sep 27th, 2009 at 15:13 GMT
First time I had the same number of correct answers in the left and right column on the answer page!
Sep 27th, 2009 at 21:11 GMT
This is awesome. 20 minuted never went by this fast on any other Sporcle quiz.
Sep 28th, 2009 at 05:17 GMT
keep it the way it is, one huge list would be impossible to do.
Sep 28th, 2009 at 14:49 GMT
great quiz - will definitely be coming back to it. but it's really hard to scroll back and forth. Not sure what the solution to that is, because you're not going to fit 195 countries on one screen, but it still makes it harder to do in time.
Sep 29th, 2009 at 01:55 GMT
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do it, but I'm going to try. I'm up to 157. Deserves to be an official quiz...
Sep 29th, 2009 at 03:36 GMT
Just did it once - 110. Wish I could do it just timing me to see how long it takes
Sep 29th, 2009 at 18:59 GMT
Epic quiz. Wish I had more time.
Sep 29th, 2009 at 22:25 GMT
I think you should make the time limit as high as possible. Give everyone a chance to finish it, while still rewarding people for higher scores
Sep 30th, 2009 at 19:53 GMT
WAY TOO HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oct 1st, 2009 at 22:59 GMT
I didn't even know where to start
Oct 2nd, 2009 at 19:25 GMT
Just so you know, the maximum time limit is 20 minutes.
Oct 2nd, 2009 at 19:44 GMT
totally needed more time, but, it's really just a little too hard!
Oct 3rd, 2009 at 04:36 GMT
Oh so close, 190. Forgot senegal, cuba (no idea how) lithuania, bhutan and croatia. I normally get bhutan, lithuania and Cuba... damn it
