"Ole Miss" ought to work for Mississippi. It's referred to that way in sports journalism, for instance.

Great quiz, as always, Ben. Happy to see my Buckeyes up there so high. I might be alone in this, but I thought the time was too long by a minute or two, I eventually just went around the country and named every FBS school I could think of.

So Virginia beat Virginia Tech on this quiz. (We went 3-9 last season, I had to say SOMETHING :D)

I don't think Berkeley should be acceptable for Cal. It's never called that in a sports context.

Ditto that WVU and VT not included. Guess Big East football is better now that it once was. And how about accepting UGA for Georgia?

Why doesn't it accept University of Miami of UM for Miami?? That's the only reason why I missed the first one.

I guess that Sports Illustrated subscription is paying off. I managed to get 25, but only because of 'educated' guesses since I've become familiar with the traditional powerhouses of college football. Funny thing is, I was teasing a friend who attended Auburn about Auburn being a small time school since I never heard it talked about as a football power, and for the hell of it I entered it and sure enough, it's there.

none of this is surprising. if you know your pac10, big10, big12, and sec you'll get most of them. the only three surprises for me were: 1. no v-tech 2. no oregon 3. no smu

@agrigator717: The University of Michigan is well known as UM as well, probably much more well knows as UM than the University of Miami.
