When it comes to development, quality of life and civism, these 10 countries are on a league of their own.

I gave up when I saw there was no Singapore.

I find it very hard to believe that neither the Vatican City nor any European city-states would have made the list. Not to mention some Pacific and (possibly) Caribbean islands. After looking at the source, though, I highly doubt that research of any sort went into compiling the 10 countries here. And that is even disregarding the complete lack of a definition for how the cleanest countries would be determined. Poor choice for a quiz.

Lthayer3: how can city-states possibly be greener than these countries, filled with nature? A city-state is per definition not clean, as it is a country filled to the max with buildings and polluting cars, without large natural parks to conpensate.

@Rigga I can understand some of your comments but the source is not at all helpful in providing it's criteria for "cleanest" - even if you discount the city states I have to agree with Lthayer3 about the Pacific islands + Andorra

I'm sure I saw a similar list somewhere which had Ireland in the top 3. Good idea for a quiz, could do with a better source.

try using this source:http://www.forbes.com/2009/04/15/worlds-cleanest-countries-business-energy-clean-countries_slide.html?thisSpeed=30000, I believe it gives a more accurate listing with the proper criterion.

Japan was the first country I entered. Surprised that it's not here.

Singapore is extremely clean. It is illegal to litter there!
