Very good quiz - but very tough. Too many names I couldn't remember, and who'd think Laver never reached no1?

Laver would have obviously been N°1 but the ATP ranking was not existing while he was the best player in the world. ATP ranking started on August 23, 1973. I'll add this info in the description.

Loved the idea. Schuettler should count for Rainer I think

yes, it's very tough but also very fun! i have one gripe tho: you have robin söderling with an "ö", but jonas björkman with an "o".

Fantastic quiz. Couple of these really made me think "wow, I had no idea he ever got so high in the rankings." Corretja, Pioline, Grosjean in particular but several others as well.

Argh, why didn't I think of this?!? Great quiz, BaronZ. Here's my similar quiz that also took a lot of work: http://www.sporcle.com/games/mpolzkill/consecutive-weeks-in-tennis-top-3

Thanks for your comments on my quiz, BaronZ. -- Again, this quiz is just great, the kind you can play many, many times. One complaint: I wish there were an asterisk for Vilas, as he was not almost great (haha). Really, on Wiki they say that if today's methods were used he would have been ranked No. 1 in 1977. -- Thanks again, BaronZ
