Another good one, for the serious classic movie buffs you could probably take this quiz back through the 30's if you wanted. That'd be up to them and obviously you :) The only typos I saw was the Show in The Greatest Show on Earth and there isn't supposed to be a G in Singin' in the Rain.

Casablanca was released in 1943. IMDB has it wrong in the header, but it does have it's correct Jan 1943 release date in the details, and it is often listed incorrectly on sporcle quizzes because of this. But it won an Oscar for the best picture of 1943.

Great one, a real challenge! I don't think On the Waterfront has an '!'

I agree with rhinson, it really threw me to see Casablanca and Mrs Miniver together because they won Best Picture in consecutive years

I love it! But the correct spelling is Anchors Aweigh. 5 Globes.

@zalkon2004: I have extended the quiz to the '30s, now.
@everyone else: All those little mistakes have been corrected, thanks for pointing them out.

You were right the first time - Casablanca did first come out in 1942 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casablanca_(film)#Timing_of_release

You should just remove Casablanca completely because it was made and premiered in 1942 (in New York on November 26th), but it didn't play in Los Angeles until its general release in January of 1943 thus why it was eligible for the 1943 Academy Awards.
