| Bangladesh really stands out here. All the other countries are tiny. |
 | eon: | Jan 8th, 2013 at 16:47 GMT | | 2 points |
| South America seems to be much less densely populated, 60 people per square mile probably wouldn't get you into the top half in Europe |
 | chasmmi: | Jan 8th, 2013 at 17:09 GMT | | 3 points |
| @eon but then again its very hard to live in most of the top half of South america what with all the trees and all. :) |
 | Gottkaiser: | Jan 8th, 2013 at 18:20 GMT | | 4 points |
| Incredible that the most densly populated country in South America is not even anywhere near the top 5 in any other continent. Great quiz, btw. |
 | cuendillar: | Jan 8th, 2013 at 18:57 GMT | | 2 points |
| @eon: 60/sq mile is actually comparable to Sweden - top half would require almost 300/sq mile. Europe is pretty densely populated, at least south of the Baltic. |

| I officially hate North America now, because of this quiz. But I love this quiz. |

| When in doubt, pick islands is what I learned...after bombing and checking the results |

| I believe Bangladesh is the most dense country which is not a Micro Country.
Nice quiz :) |

| Can you accept "Sao Tome ET Principe" as an answer? I typed it but it didn't work as it's "and" in the answer. |

| Maldives is also the country with the lowest natural highest point in the world, at 2.4 metres (7 ft 10 in). Sporcle! |

| An interesting variation would be "Name the 5 Most Densely Populated Countries in Each Continent With a Population Over 1 Million". |

| Respectfully suggest that you accept FSM for Micronesia; there seems to be an emerging sporcle convention in that direction, though it is not yet universal. |

| AKA name every small island country |
 | Bobman1: | Feb 21st, 2013 at 04:14 GMT | | 5 points |
| Wow, the one I missed in South America really surprised me. No other continent comes remotely close to its largest country by area also being among the densest. Then again, looking at SA's overall densities compared to the other continents... it's off-the-charts low.... Its densest looks like it would not even rank in the top-20 elsewhere. |

| Note that if you actually followed what Scout_Number_4 said, you'd get less than half (on top of the fact that in Oceania you're pretty much immediately limited to guessing small islands nations). Just island countries only constitutes half, and the majority of them do not make the list. |

| Palestine actually surpasses Taiwan in population density. Gaza has an area of 360 sq km and a population of 1.7 million, added in with 2.6 million/5,860 km for the West Bank. This is ~696 people/sq km for Palestine. |

| ^Palestine isn't a Sporcle-recognized country. Also, I was surprised how much more important size was than population, especially in Europe. |

| I must have tried every country on the connection between Mexico and South America - except the one that was correct. Interesting quiz. |

| Vatican City's density is bigger than its population. Weird. |
 | UnholyMudcrab: | Feb 21st, 2013 at 14:32 GMT | | 9 points |
| @timjim: That's because Vatican City's area is less than a sq. km. |

| I'm curious to know how two countries that don't even appear in the listed source can appear as entries. Neither Taiwan nor the Vatican are listed among the World Bank's "Countries and Economies" and neither appear on the specific population density pages. I thought, if you listed a source for a game, that the information had to come from that source. |

| Thanks for all the down votes just for asking for a bit of clarification, guys. The source for the quiz is the "World Bank," a source which doesn't include any information about two countries that were listed as answers when I took the quiz. |

| @dmpquiz: If you'd read Sporcle's reasoning behind putting Palestine on quizzes, you'd realize how ironic of a comment that was. Their explanation is at http://www.sporcle.com/blog/2013/01/palestine-on-sporcle/ |
