| Interesting to see how it's changed. The top 10 are all the same countries then as now but the positions and numbers are different. Also China has a one child policy, yet its population is larger now than in 1998. How is this? I think it's because the one child policy only applies to people in urban areas and also because even if less children are being born, perhaps more people are living to old age which increases the actual amount of population. |
