When typing in "Who" I got credit for The Guess Who and I got credit for Ram Jam when trying to type "James Gang" (it accepted Jam). You should probably fix those.

That's because it's set to "accept last word". So "Band" and "Brothers" will each get a couple as well.

May want to accept Big Brother and the Holding Company for "Piece of My Heart" in addition to Joplin. Also, you might considering accepting CSN for Suite Judy Blue Eyes.

@Baldy: You've clicked the option that allow players to enter just the last word of the answer. Bad move. Too many Whos, Brothers and Bands for that to work right. For solo acts, set up the last name as an alternate answer instead: Paul McCartney & Wings / Paul McCartney / McCartney / Wings, for example.
Not your fault, but "Piece of My Heart" was by Big Brother and the Holding Company - Janis Joplin was the lead vocalist, but BB&tHC should be the display.
Pretenders and Eagles don't use "The" so those should be removed.
And change the column heading from "Ranking" to just "#". That column is taking up a lot of precious real estate and causing extra scrolling.

@Holimkill: don't feel so bad. My first instinct was to try Ringo Starr.

BTW I typed correctly Mötley Crüe, but the answer was not accepted, since you've typed Motley Crue. That's a bit odd; the correct name not approved...

I know this was taken from a particular list, but whoever is responsible for this list ought to be ashamed of him/her/themselves for omitting "Aqualung"!!!!!!!!!

@Baldy: This is a great game. Perhaps you should actually slightly change the principle instruction to "Can you name the top 100 classic rock songs by different artists, according to ultimateclassicrock?"... That would explain WHY you have the additional instruction "there is only one track per artist" right from the start.

Nothing against this quiz, except for not taking band initials, but this list is one of the worst lists I've seen. I'm not sure how you could list Journey before Eric Clapton, they must know nothing of good classic rock.

I also thought of Ringo Starr for Photograph. Drew a total blank for Foghat for some reason.

20 minutes is unnecessary. Shouldn't require more than five.

Baldy Great quiz, although some of my favorites (Tull and Steeley Dan) didn't make the list, which I can't understand. I would also check correct spelling of Pete Townsend. Don't believe there is an "H" in the spelling. Threw me for a few minutes.

@CoachWall, Thanks for the comments. Also surprised with some of the top artists missing of this list. PT has been double checked and is spelt correctly with an H.

Any list with Marshall, SRV, Molly Hatchet, Skynyrd, Allman, Thin Lizzy, Golden Earring, Thorogood, ZZ, Free, Bad Company, and Foghat is alright with me.

The title's wrong. Should be "Can you name the artists of ultimateclassicrock's top 100 classic rock songs?"

She hates time, make it stop. When did Motley Crue become classic rock?

The ambiguous titles were distracting. Too many either recorded by more than one artist on the list, having the same name as a song from someone else on the list, or sharing a name with a bigger hit. Different choices could have been made for the same artists.

@Slinky: the titles are from a list on the website stated. It is not just a list of the top 100 acts but a list of the most popular songs by each artist. 5500 plays and counting, thank you all.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but way too much time... I had over 12 minutes left when I finished. I do like that only one song per artist was listed. Othersie, other than disagreeing with some of the individual songs (with the website, not the list), Great quiz!
