Brady is NOT the best athlete in the NFL. He's not even the best QB.

Since the quiz is relatively easy, make it so we have to type first and last names. On this site we get so used to last name entries, that a full name quiz will be a fun change of pace.

or just lower the time to a minute, and Brady?? I value the Super Bowl wins as much as the next guy, but he arguably iosn't even the best player on his team?
Dec 16th, 2009 at 16:47 GMT
That was not a fun change of pace to type in first and last names.
Dec 16th, 2009 at 16:48 GMT
I'll compromise and make it so the time limit is one minute, but only last names are required.

Why did they even bother to do football if... a)the rest are individual sports... b)they didn't do any other team sports... c) they were going to get it wrong?
Dec 16th, 2009 at 18:15 GMT
Make it harder - don't include the sport as a hint.
Dec 16th, 2009 at 18:27 GMT
Since the other five categories are international sports, I guess I was thinking European football. I think you should state "American Football" as the sport.

Manning is better, quarterbacks don't win Superbowls. Marino would have 5 or 6 if that were the case. Also I would bet any amount of money that Usain Bolt is on steroids.
Dec 16th, 2009 at 20:30 GMT
Pretty much everyone in sports is on steroids. I don't know why everyone keeps getting surprised when someone gets outed...
Dec 16th, 2009 at 22:31 GMT
West: Marino would have won 5 or 6 Super Bowls if he actually plaeyd well in the playoffs. Just look at those games. He played in 18 playoff games in his career. In 8 of those games he had a passer rating above 84 and they went 7-1 in those games. In 10 of those games he had a passer rating under 78, they were 1-9 in those games. In 10 playoff games he threw multiple interceptions, they were 1-9 in those games. In 8 games he threw 1 or 0 interceptions, they were 7-1 in those games. You see the trend? If he plays well they most likely win the game, if he plays poorly they most likely lose the game.

why wouldn't brady be on there? this isn't best player in the nfl right now, its athlete of the decade. kid has three rings and is a first ballot hall of famer. don't be one of those sporcle duoches who diss brady everytime you see his name just because you hate the pats. and i'm not even a pats fan. weddep.
Dec 17th, 2009 at 00:12 GMT
Haha. You have to love the Brady haters. I'm nowhere near being a fan of New England or any team around Boston in sports. But how do you deny the success of Brady? He had far less offensive talent for most of the decade then Manning. Yet he did more then Manning. He didn't choke in most of his playoff games either. Yeah, it's great that Manning knows how to win in the regular season and put up record stats but that has nothing to do with being the best player or QB.
Dec 17th, 2009 at 03:27 GMT
tom brady is the MOST OVERRATED player in the NFL... he has one of the best lines, best receiving corps, the best coach in the game and a really good defense... athlete of the decade should go to someone like peyton manning, L.T.
Dec 17th, 2009 at 03:56 GMT
hey yankeesfan26, how many superbowls did brady win with the "best receiving corps" or the "best lines?" 0. He is not the same after his injury, but prior to that, he was the best QB in all of football. 3 rings. 4 years. champion. unprecedented.
Dec 17th, 2009 at 04:06 GMT
yankeesfan26: your an idiot. its ok, though, you've probably never watched a professional football game.
