Wow. A country quiz where the US is the least guessed answer? Perhaps Nauru should be an answer too, although I'm not sure.

Yeah. I was under the impression that Nauru was a former German possession that was transferred into UK/Aus/NZ hands after WWI...

I didn't know the Germans had this amount of involvement in colonialism. I knew they had an empire but I generally thought it was quite a small one.

HiddenPalace: iirc, Germany lost virtually all of their colonies to Britain and France during and just after WWI. I had no idea they had territory in what is now the US though.

Not a surprise that United States is the least guessed. I guessed it but it wouldn't take US/USA. Please accept those.

I'm guessing the US territory is the Northern Marianas, as that is a former German colony that became Japanese after WWI, then American after WWII.

The US isn't the least guessed, it is the least accepted. A year later and you don't accept US?

Which part of the US was a German colony. The Northern Marianas are not pary of the US but a territory and the same goes for the US Virgin Silands. I can find no evidence that there was aver a German colony in what is the moder US proper.
