| Recently the British succession law was changed to allow females the same rights as males. Previously females would come behind males in succession even if they were older, and would only succeed to the throne if all male options had been exhausted. For instance, Princess Anne, the Queen's second child used to be 10th in line behind her two younger brothers and their children. She has now moved up to 4th behind her older borther (Prince Charles) and his children. This quiz shows what the succession would have been like if the new rules had been applied since George I became King. Most of the new monarchs have anglicised versions of their name as I assumed even if they were foreign they would have anglicised their names. I also assumed the birth and death dates remained as they were in reality. |
