| This theoretical line extends well beyond Elizabeth II to the present day. By my reckoning it goes to her son Philip I (1722-3 in reality the Duc d'Orleans), his daughter Adelaide I (1723-43 in reality Mlle de Orleans and Abbess of Chelles), her sister Charlotte I (1743-61 in reality Mlle de Valois), her grandson Lewis I (1761-8 in reality Louis de Borbon-Penthrieve Prince of Lamballe), his sister Louise I (1768-1821 in reality Louise de Borbon-penthrieve, duchess d'Orleans), then her daughter Adelaide II (1821-47 in reality Adelaide de Borbon-Orleans and possibly Baroness Athelin). It seems uncertain whether or not Adelaide married a Baron Athelin and/or had issue so here I assume she didn't. The line would then go to her brother Lewis II (1847-66 in reality Louis Philippe, King of The French), then through his grandson Phillip II (1866-94 in reality Philippe d'Orleans, Comte de Paris), and his daughter Mary II (1894-1951).
Finally in 1951 the throne would have passed to Mary's great-neice, her sister's grandaughter and Phillip II's great-grandaughter, Margaret II, one Margerita d'Aosta of Savoy born 1930 and still alive today. She married Archduke Robert of Austria-Este and their eldest child Maria (future Mary III) is the current heir to this theoretical throne. |
