Equatorial Guinea is kind of a misnomer with the title of the quiz because it's a fairly big economy (for its population) but also a very poor country. That's because the vast majority of the wealth is held by the ruling family and everyone else is poor. Equatorial Guinea is not a country with rich babies.

Wales. It does say that GDP was used. So the measure used was not a measure of equality, but an average. As such, Equatorial Guinea certainly would belong there.

Except for Israel, all of these states have oil or gas, and a fairly small population in proportion to their natural resources. Most of this wealth is controlled by a tiny elite, which in turn throws off the statistics, as those only measure how much wealth per capita there is divided by population, not considering which parts of that population actually have the money.
