	I wanted to experiment a bit and decided to make this. I did make some of the clues a bit harder than most clues, such that it is still possible to figure out the words, but not so that they are obvious giveaways. (If it were too easy, the traps wouldn't come into effect that much.)

	Am I missing the point? I enjoyed the ladder on its own, and didn't run into problems, but because I liked what I thought you were doing I went back and looked for traps. Only about half the intermediaries are words (not surprising) but none of them fit the clues. I wouldn't write in BALK for "Fish container" or WANK for "Speak" or WAIL for "Trip" (though that made me smile). I think to do what you intended would be incredibly hard - you'd have to come up with two possibilities that both fit and are synonymous. It's not a bad idea at all, but if I looked at this correctly this quiz didn't make it yet.

	OK, I'm slow. If they both fit the clue then it's just an unfair guessing game. So you'd have to get really (probably frustratingly) hard. Hmm. Not sure now if the idea itself makes it.

	OK, I admit the ladder's not difficult, but I find that on many word ladders there are times when I have no idea on a word and need to guess. Maybe someone else needs to make a similar quiz with more advanced vocab so that the mines come into effect more often, since my vocab is usually quite basic.

	I liked this a lot, and the desired effect was there: I was much more careful about guessing words that were far away, and I didn't do the normal thing where I fill in the blanks while barely glancing at the clues (which is common for some of the easier word ladders). I was also too nervous to test what happens when one types "ZERO" or "EXP(X)" for the penultimate rung, but if there's a bonus there then good job.

	I don't understand your zero/expx bonus suggestion ostroffj -- just tried them, and no bonus... confused -- i agree it would be silly to type balk or wank or something, but i tend to just try both possiblities w/o really thinking and in fact failed first time w/o realizing it was a mine quiz

	I really enjoyed the fact that you can't guess at an answer through trial and error. I got tripped up, but it will make sure that those who get 100% legitimately deserve it :-)
