If somebody can phrase the title to this quiz better than I did, I am open to it.

Good quiz, gave it 5 out of 5. FYI, Hank Aaron hit 47 home runs in 1971.

He'd still make the list, but McGriff's highest home run total was 37 in 1993.

I hope Edmonds plays next year so you can add him to the list

I just want to point out how crazy it is that a player in 500 home runs and never hit more than 33 in a single season.

Can you put an asterisk into the active players? Great Quiz.

@ArtVandaley, I think it's even more crazy how Hank Aaron hit 755 home runs without ever hitting over 50.

That is why I originally wanted to do the quiz, but I am sticking with 500+ and 33 being the max. 33. Thirty-Three. I looked to see who had the most homers and never hit 30 or more and the answer is Harold Baines.

True, but Baines holds the record for most career homeruns after the 18th inning.

Surprisingly difficult quiz. 5 orbs! Also, Eddie Murray was pretty much a model of consistency. For his 21 seasons, his 162 game average is 27 HR, which is only 3 more per game than the minimum of 24 (500/21 = 23.8). And that includes his 1997 season, when he only played in 55 games.

Nice quiz. I made a similar one a while back, 300 HR without a 35 HR season. http://www.sporcle.com/games/rk559/ryanklesko

Al Kaline hit the most HRs w/o ever hitting 30 in a season.
