| Wins are a bad way to judge a pitchers performance. He played for a TERRIBLE team. But if you want to take into account games he probably would have won had he been on a team that didn't suck, let's do it.
- In 4 GS, Greinke went at least 7+ IP, allowed 1 ER or less, and still received no-decisions.
- Greinke received 3 losses in games that he gave up 2 or less earned runs.
Just for arguments sake, let's say he pitches for a better offense and wins 5 of the 7 games listed above, and 3 losses are converted, would his 21-5, 2.16 ERA, seem more impressive? |
