	Any list of quality tv shows that includes Family Guy and South Park has no credibility with me. The list is unabashedly contemporary-centric. Nothing from the 50s, 60s, 70s but Star Trek and Fawlty Towers.

	@chriskotx What's so bad about South Park? Sure, it's vulgar, but it's had a huge impact on the medium of television and has had episodes of brilliant comedy and satire. I can find many more shocking inclusions on this list, especially given the high number of notable exclusions of great series.

	I agree, what an awful list. I assumed that the original Prime Suspect would be on there. But how could there be space on the list with such modern classics like Heroes, Prison Break and Family Guy.

	@chriskotx Television of the past decade has been much better than nearly anything from the 50-80s. It's not "contemporary-centric," it's accurate.

	@cgrapes429 Family Guy is better than All in the Family? Heroes is better than Hill Street Blues? The Sopranos is better than My Mother, the Car? (Okay, the answer to the last question is yes.) While I agree with you that the overall quality of TV programs has greatly improved in recent years, this list is way too contemporary-centric in that it includes pretty much every great show from the current era plus a lot of average-to-below-average ones, while it excludes many classics from previous generations.
