| I've always heard the White Sox and Red Sox refered to in Spanish with the word Medias not Calcetines - Medias Rojas, Medias Blancas. Medias translates to hose or stockings where calcetines is the word usually used for shorter socks. Also, I'm pretty sure I've heard the Rangers called Rancheros which means ranchers or ranch hands, of course, and not an exact translation, but Guardabosques means a forest ranger. One more, Cachorros is the literal word for Cubs..yes, Ositos means little bears which is the same idea. |
