| @chriskotx: Actually spaghetto *is* the singular form of spaghetti. Spaghetto is the diminutive of spago, which means cord or rope. I don't know if macarono is the singular of macaroni. But I do know that graffito is the singular of graffiti. And technically opera is a plural word from the singular opus meaning "work" as in "work of art". @Anne13: If you do a sequel, *please* don't use the hideous (and erroneous!) back formation "octopi", which seems to be en vogue here in the U.S. as a plural of "octopus". The snooty pluralization of octopus is octopodes, but most experts prefer octopuses. |
