Tried to research this carefully; however, feel free to point out any errors.

I doubt that some of these are really the most prolific (Surely Chopin wrote more than Corelli? Unless you count each movement of a Corelli sonata as a separate work), but whatever.

RebeccaAMax- I will look at that more closely regarding Chopin. It is surprising how some of the more "obscure" composers made the list.

not sure what is meant by prolific really. If in terms of amount of pieces written then it doesn't really add up and if it's in terms of who you consider to be the best composer of given the letter then there's some serious ommissions.

As of 3/24, I've edited the quiz from most prolific composers, to any composer starting per letter of the alphabet. Too subjective the other way.

There are a ton of major composers missing -- Delius, Hindemith, Ysaye, Albinoni, Varese, Monteverdi, Lutoslawski, Ligeti, Schoenberg, Wolpe, Zimmermann... Nice to see Zelenka's name here though!

I got credit for Zelenka after just typing "Ze" in the field. I'd never heard of Zelenka, and was just randomly putting in words.

I'm not particularly knowledgeable when it comes to composers, but I still thought of some that weren't there. Surely not too obscure: Delius, Sibelius, Vaughan Williams...
