	Yeah i was hoping Nolan would be on here. I'm assuming these only include living directors? So that should be specified. Also pretty surprised that Lynch took number one.

	Great quiz. Really nice to see a more international selection, but some key filmmakers are sorely missing from this list, such as Alfonso Cuaron, Christopher Nolan, Woody Allen (if the argument is that he is past his prime, well Soderbergh hasn't made a halfway decent film in a decade and they placed him at number 4!), Peter Jackson, Alejandro Inarritu, Fernando Meirelles, and more. I wouldn't put Lynch anywhere near number 1, but I'm thrilled the Coens are near the top, as they are definitely the greatest living directors around.

	There's some great directors missing from this list (Spielberg, Nolan, Scott, Crowe) and some who are good but nowhere near great (Haynes, Winterbottom) and some who must have bribed their way to get on this list (Ramsay, Davies) as they shouldn't be anywhere this list.

	ya this makes sense, cause obviously when your talking directors, people like cameron, howard, and speilberg have no business being in the conversation when we're talking about guys like Larry and Andy Wachowski, excuse me lana and andy, and their list of awesome films like the matrix sequels and speed racer.

	the only terence davies film ive seen is "distant voices, still lives". no film has ever moved me as much. a masterpiece

	The Wachowskis made one truly fantastic film, two competent ones, and then Speed Racer. I'm no Nolan fanboy, but he's consistently better; Spielberg might be mass-market, but the man consistently defines cinema for the mass consciousness. Haynes and Haneke are vastly overrated, and Moore's a great self-promoter, but not much of a director (he's too self-indulgent). Where's Herzog? Where's Boyle?
