| Emil Jannings, the first Best Actor winner, is the only person to win this award for two films rather than just one. In addition to "The Last Command," he also won for "The Way of All Flesh," so the latter should be accepted as a valid answer as well. Similarly, the first Best Actress winner, Janet Gaynor, won her Oscar for three different films. The rules apparently changed after the first year and all other winners won for only one film. |
