	Bulletchewer6, the red sea is part of the indian ocean and the med is part of the antarctic ocean. Every ocean is endlessly subdivided into seas, so i think that this quiz is right to include oceans as well as the constituent seas that make them up. Indonesia should be included though.

	France should be an answer, as it borders the Atlantic and Indian (Reunion is an integral part of the country).

	no bulletchewer, geographically seas are considered to be part of the oceans they branch from. maybe you should better your grasp of geography?

	SamN did make the mistake of calling the Atlantic Ocean the Antarctic Ocean, but I'm guessing it was just a typo rather than lack of knowledge. If you're going to complain about Egypt and Israel bordering seas, I'd suggest you complain about Central America too, since by that definition they only border 1 ocean (and the Caribbean Sea). I second the inclusion of France, perhaps Denmark too, since Greenland is in the Arctic Ocean and there's no reason to miss off Indonesia (especially since you've included Malaysia and Thailand) maybe Singapore as a bonus too?

	Please understand that at first i did not clarify what qualified for this. Seas are not Oceans. They are part of them. The Mediterranean is part of the atlantic, the Red Sea is part of the Indian ocean, the caribbean is part of the atlantic and so on... Dependencies are not included in the count so France and the UK do not count (however France's overseas regions may qualify.) I am thinking of including Indonesia because it really does not make sense why a chain of islands should be excluded because it's a chain of island. @SamN is correct in that Oceans are endlessly subdivided into seas, the Mediterranean is connected to the Atlantic, it is for sure a different entity but it should be considered part of the Atlantic in my opinion. Im sorry i wasn't more clear with my definitions of what an ocean is, but from reading these comments there obviously isn't a clear consensus.

	Am I the only one that thought this quiz was fine, at least with the clarification that seas are part of their oceans? I thought it was interesting and creative. But I do second the Denmark argument.

	Chile doesn't border the Atlantic Ocean. Argentina = Atlantic, Chile = Pacific. There's a treaty about that issue.

	Wikipedia is not a credible source. I would suggest the IHO who sets the limits of the oceans and other bodies of water. Also, according to them, Argentina does not border the Pacific Ocean, but Chile (just barely) borders the Atlantic. [http://www.iho-ohi.net/iho_pubs/standard/S-23/S23_1953.pdf]

I was simply explaining to you that it was coming as a result of your rash generalization of 4.5% of the world's population as a group of uneducated people who know nothing about Geography, as opposed to rolling in because you were posting facts.

	Given there is an argument about seas, what about Iceland. It is clear that the south coastline is Atlantic, but is the Greenland Sea north of Iceland classed as part of the Atlantic or Arctic?

	If you say that seas don't count, then do bays count? If they don't, then France by some definitions never touches the Atlantic Ocean, only the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay (depending on where you draw the boundaries of these 2 bodies of water).

	Somehow you have to account for Greenland. I'd say just count Denmark, but no matter how you slice it Greenland touches two different oceans. Common Sporcle protocol would say that means Denmark touches two oceans.

	Yes but french guiana is an overseas region and by all means an integral part of france, denmark is a semi-sovereign dependency. There's a distinction that's hard to make.

	@Andrew1992: French Guiana is not the reason why France is listed on this quiz, its because of Réunion, which is in the Indian Ocean. But Réunion has the same status as French Guiana as an oversea region, which have almost identical powers to metropolitan regions, i.e. they are like states in analogy to the American political divisions. Not counting Réunion would be like not counting Alaska as part of the United States, and therefore saying the US does not touch the Arctic Ocean.

	Fair enough. And I presume Greenland would be to Denmark what Puerto Rico is to the US? I suppose I can see the difference there, then. I'm just so used to Greenland being "part" of Denmark because Sporcle has set that precedent throughout the majority of its geography quizzes.

	Some more detail on the quiz would be nice, revealing which oceans they border once you've guessed them, perhaps the length of coastline for each.
